PPRs are in!
Jonathan cleared his schedule yesterday so that we could drive to the Ukrainian consulate together and deliver the post-placement reports for the children. The man at the counter who received them, whom we have never met, broke into a smile when he saw the reports, and we both had the distinct impression that he knew who we were. He asked us how the children were doing, and was genuinely pleased that we felt they're doing quite well.Afterward, we celebrated by eating together at the Breakfast Club on the west side. They have the best French toast in Chicago, at least in my opinion!
The PPRs are very important, even more so this year because of Kola's adoption. Now there is only one document still pending for Kola--the extension of the U.S. visa. The fingerprinting is updated, but we need to apply for the actual extension itself.
